Create department and Assign HOD

Introduction:

HRMS is an indigenous application which helps the Organization to accumulate and maintain the Human Resource data. This document outlines how to create department and assign a HOD to it.

Getting Started:

To access Human Resource Management System

  • Open an internet browser (Recommended to use Google Chrome)

  • Type https://my.amrita.edu/ and click enter

  • Login with your amrita email id and password.

  • Click HUMAN RESOURCES.


Create department and Assign HOD

  • Go to Administration > Click Settings


Select School

  • Click on the School name to open the school page under which the department needs to be created


Create Department

  • Click on “Add” button near the department list to create department


  • Enter the Department Name and Select Status as Active

  • Click Create button


Create Staff/User

  • Click Add button in staff list to add a staff


  • Fill up the staff details

  • Click Create button


Assign HOD to Department

  • Click Add button to assign HOD to Department


  • A pop-up window opens

  • Select the staff name from drop-down

  • Select the HOD Type.

  • Click Save button.
